So it's December! Are you getting into the spirits of the Christmas shennanigans yet?! Don't fret too much about shopping, you can do all of it online! That's what I did! I bought a crapton of stuff on www.fredflare.com including a TEA DUCKIE! It's the best!
The first panel you might notice a certain cameo in a certain Coffeeshop of Doom. The horrified girl behind the counter is none other than Hanners from Questionable Content! I'm sure you know what that comic is already. It is a delight.
Sausage is wearing a Beard Head. My friend Jen sent me one because apparently all Canadians need beards. It probably is one of the coolest things ever.
Also you might notice a certain Manadian in the background. O, MANADA!
The last panel, in case some of you are stumped, is a tribute to the movie The Shining. Gotta love "Frozen Jack Nicholson.jpg".

Retired retired. I'll still post one-offs on my tumblr/deviantart that are video game and other...
question: do you mean retired as in a really really long hiatus or retired retired?
lol, even the yellow smiley face on Jak's shirt changes expressions XD
I just noticed that the eyes on Jak's hat change to match her mood. XD
Holy crap has it really been almost a year already?

greetings from MN.. it's really freaking cold here eh? XD
MANADA!
HOLY CRAP IT IS THE GIRL FROM QUESTIONABLE CONTENT!!!
Hannelore Ellicott-Chatham!
Ho ho, is that a Canada (from Hetalia) curl I see? If it is, that just totally made my day.
Hooray for Jac! Hooray for Sausage! Hooray for Insane Yeti Squirrel! Hooray for Tyler! Awesome webcomic! I found it through WT of course and I found WT through QC! I love Hanners! She's OCD and I'm a schizophrenic, so I can totally relate to some of her reactions. Keep up the outrageously awesome work! Kudos!
Well, just caught up on this madness, lead from someone mentioning a QC cameo (thumbs up, by the way), and I must say I mostly enjoyed the lunacy I just digested. Some of it is a bit hit-or-miss, but I quite liked a good chunk, and the art style, just as mad as the characters and what's happening, is very fetching as well.
Keep up the good work.
Is that supposed to be Hanner from QC? If yes... awesome. Also I love you style.
just came over from wt and spend the whole day reading through your archives - very good comic you got here :) now there is only one thing left to ask: where do I get a cat hat?? ;)
Hiya, just want to say, your comics (guest one for WT and your ones here) are jawsum (jaw droppingly awesome?)
Seriously though very nice, my only displeasure from stumbling upon your site today was when I realized that there were no more comics for me to "Next" to :(
I hope IYS gets along with my other bookmarks because consider yourself SAVED. Keep up the hilarious work (please!).
Yes i'm adding this to my Comic favorites :D
So... I just read through the entire comic. I was pleasantly surprised, and it acted as the perfect distraction to ignore my insomnia! Keep up the good work, because I'll be watching you like a hawk!
CCCAAAAWWWW! -flies away-
*Love-Punches this comic... and Jak... but not IY Squirrel.. no love punch for him(her?) it...*
I see that Manada in the second panel approves! (Am I the only one who knows who this fine fellow is? :D)
Excuse me while I go devise a beard that is made of hats...
Even when frozen, Jack Nicholson makes me keep my distance....damn, The Shining was a good movie!
*GENERIC WASTED TALENT NEWCOMER COMMENT!*
Linked from WT, good times. Upset you left the UK, its wonderful over here! As many have said, woop QC reference and words to that effect.
just linked over here from wasted talent. Gotta say I like this site. it's got everything, craziness, cuteness, cuteness of a different type, good art, and nerd references. keep up the good work!
Great surprise, I also recently joined from Wasted Talent (and this is the 11th webcomic to be followed through my Google Reader account). It is really easy to navigate thanks to the similarity of the layout between IYS and WT. My only complaint thus far is that I found you after you left Europe. I just could not avoid becoming happy when I noticed that you had visited Sweden (I am currently in Uppsala).
Also, I would love to see a better introduction to Tyler. At the moment I find myself doubting his existence in the physical world. How did he get involved as a guest writer? Is he family, friend or maybe a random and hilarious guy who just came stumbling in?
I'm wise to your plan, you can't fool me...
I'm not going to lie... that barmaid in the coffee shop looks like Hanners from QuestionableContent... this must be on purpose
That might be because it IS her! ;)
Yay for hanners!
also, I don't think her reaction is due to her OCD. Most people give that reaction when you demand a bucket full of coffee...
Hey there, a newcomer from Wasted Talent; enjoyed your archive so far :)
I don't really comment on webcomics but I have one question: Is that Hannelore from Questionable Content in the first panel?
You'd be correct in guessing so, though I did mention it on the side panel there! ;) Didn't want to draw her without giving credit, hehe!
Newcomer from Wasted Talent here. Nice comics. Definetely a bookmark on your site. Also thumbs up for QC reference ;) (at least I think it's a QC reference, it's Hanners, right ?).
As for blurry images thing, initially I had a thought it may be a webhosting service automatically lowering quality of your uploaded pics (some of them tend to do that), but since the guest strip at WT looks blurry as well, I think you just need to adjust compression rates on you *.jpg files in your "drawning" application (Photoshop, etc.). Have you considered using *.png format ? Quality/filesize ratio is much better when using them.
(sorry for wall-of-text as my first comment and sounding like a smartass)
No, actually I thank you for that. I was trying to figure out a way to save my files with better compression and such... I'm thinking png but usually png files can be pretty large, right? I'll try a few things. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for stopping by! <3
I really can't stay, and i wish i knew how to break this spell!
now i need one of those beardhats things, not like i can't grow my own, but it's still nice to be able to trim it and wear a spare (one never knows when you will have a bubble gum emergency)
I also need to add your webcomic to my ever-growing list of webcomic bookmarks :D
Meanwhile this happens, i'll freeze my scrawny ass in a mexican weather you would call nice, effing 7°C are enough to get us into "Ffff, so cooooold >__<"
It seems like there was at least one more person than me that instantly thought of a song named Baby it's cold outside. But I have to ask, was this intentional?
I wonder indeed.
For the record, my favorite version is a live recording of Louis Armstrong and Velma Middleton... just can't get enough of those old songs for some reason and i'm just a quarter of a century old! I have grandpa soul ;P
Weird... Looks fine for me!
Awesome :D But not enough D:
Hm, is that Hannelore from Questionable Content?
I really like your art style (also from Wasted Talent), Trevor high-kicking in a chicken costume drew me to your site ;-)
You'd definitely be right on the Hannelore thing. That webcomic is great!
I'm glad my chicken dance art skills have won you over. <3
I too will stay because of your art style!
It's funny to see where in the archive you started drawing pleasing facial expressions. A bit before the five-year gap! Do you know what caused it?
The facial expressions also tend to show some 4chan influence, but I take it that's on purpose.
It's funny, your art most reminds me of boxer hockey.
Love the comic, another Wasted Talent joiner, gotta say it seems like a cleaner version of my own sense of humour =)
I particularly love the Hanners addition to this one, and thought it was her the second I saw the page =)
As far as the above-mentioned blurring I don't think it's happening/noticeable to me, maybe it's a system thing? Tho my eyes could just be weird
Sylan
Another newcomer from Wasted Talent who has very much enjoyed the archive. Very fun art style (blurring aside) and simply awesome sense of humour you're sporting there.

Just read the archive: loving it so far :) Only one thing, the images for the comics look vaguely blurrier than they should . . . I noticed a bit of the same thing on your guest strip on Wasted Talent . . . not really sure what it could be :?
I've noticed it too and so have some other people. I can't figure out why the quality displays so crappy. Gonna keep trying to figure that one out with my trusty web developer Trevor. Thanks!
It looks a lot better when you click the image, then click the "expand" button on the bottom right. Maybe you noticed this already though
Totally agree here.
Just speaking on personal preference, I don't think the whole 'expand' thing is very useful and would always prefer images be displayed full size in the first place.
